Physics Project Reflection 1

 Project Reflection 

        Our 8th grade years in scinece  is coming to the end. Our final unit is physic and the different types of energies thats suround us in our daily lives; such as the different types of Kenetic and  Potential  energy. For this final uint we will need to build a roller cost which show evidence or our learning form these past few weeks. For this project we are provided with a few materials but the rest such as boxes and other supplies we need to bring to stat to create our rollercoaster. 



My Vision

    Along with my other teammate our vision is to be able to make a roller coster that is not only a  roller coster but also has some part of a rube Goldberg. Our theme is going to be traveling, which means that each box is going to be decorated as a different continent and the marble will start form an airport, which is our highest point and our starting point. The marble will travel through the boxes and different energy changes will occur involving the rube gold bergs. I hope to end the rollercoaster with the marble rolling down the table through North America, and ending with a rube Goldberg that lets the marble enter a small house, to represent the end of the trip through the world. 


Its not as easy as it seems

   One of the main complication that we have had is at the begging of the project was that we weren't allowed to paint in school nor in science class. In order for us to really start creating our rollercoaster we needed to have all our boxes painted. We struggled to figure out how to paint 8 boxes, no one had that much paint and it would be someones responsibility to get these boxes painted before next class. As result we all compromised and I decide to take the challenge to help our group advance with our rollercoaster project. 






Next Class

   Since we need to paint the boxes we will be using next class I will take the boxes home and paint them. We won't be doing much building that class; unless we really need to, instead we will plan on working on our folder and planing for the other classes to come. We will also as a group talk about on any changes we night want/need to make, or what supplies we need for next class.
