The research takes many steps. At the beginning of the unit, we started by looking through all the resources we had in the class to being to get an idea of something that interest us. Next,we created a research-able question to investigate. Our teacher Mr.Callaway gave us many resources we could use like World Book online, and History Alive. After that,Mr.Callaway showed us a tool called Citelighter. Citelighter is a place wear you can take notes and do research papers like our research paper Mesopotamia. Citelighter was very useful because it helped us keep  all our notes organized and it was useful for for making our bibliography and . After taking all our notes we then organized all our notes in order, first was the Introduction, then the Body Paragraph and last was the  Conclusion. Out of all of our early human ancestors, during this unit we learned about Australopithecus Afarensis, Homo Habilis, Homo Erectus, Homo Sapiens Neanderthalensis, and Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Each hominid was more advanced than the ones which came before it. To begin with, Australopithecus Afarensis was the first hominid to be able to  survive in planet earth.They used weapons to protect themselves and to hunt. Like sticks and bones.They wear the first apes how could walk on two feet,and that was a big advantage for them because they could move around easily and faster. They also had some simple tools like sticks and animals bones to protect themselves from predators caused they lived in Africa. After that, Homo Habilis came along. GarageBand is a cool app available on the iPad to make audio (mp3) files, and we used it to create our radio show about Homo Erectus. Garageband is simple to use. To begin, you open the app by tapping the icon on your homescreen. Once it opens you will be able to create a new “song,” which is what the projects are called on GarageBand. once you click add a new song then a variety of instruments will pop out scroll until you find the one you need. For an example I will use the Audio Recorder click on it and a metronome will pop up. Look for the wrench and then you can see a sign that says Metronom, next to it you will see a blue button with a white circle on it click on the circle and then slide it to the left. If you want to adjust your volume than up on the top there's going to be a small note and next to it a long line with a circle on it move it left for less volume and right for more.
