The One and Only Ivan

Today we listened to one of my favorite books, " The One and Only Ivan". What stands out to me so far is how Ivan ( the gorilla) try's to look at everything from a diffrent prospective. For example once a small child came up to him and stood in foront of his window, tears stated to stream down, he said " he must feel so lonely" Ivan then whished that he could of tolden him that "you can get used to anything." Ivan is also very wise and has the eye of an artist. He likes to take his time and study humans. I really enjoy this book.

Dugong

What will happen if they become extinct? People should be concerned about any type of species becoming extinct because this could affect all of us. If Dugongs become extinct it will affect the amount of Biodiversity In the ocean. Dugongs feed on seagrass, and sometimes Dugongs eat crabs and algae. A daily life for a Dugong is mostly eating throughout the day. Seagrass is also a place that serves as a nursery for small fish, shrimp, and many other living creatures in the which can be found in Oceans. "In fact, dugongs actually improve the quality and  quantity of seagrass beds through their grazing activities while eating the grass," said Dr Donna Kwan. Keeping that in mind if Dugongs become extinct it will then affect us because millions of humans have fish as part of their diets and Dugongs are part of a food web; so if they become extinct then food web will become unbalanced.
