Team X Status Report- Day 1

Target: Try to land the egg inside its box safe from high above ground, while aiming for the target “ X marks the spot”.
  Today Maren, Sami and I finished sketching our final draft of our team X project. We also finished doing the list of materials we will need to build our team X Project, and we started to buy some of them to start our model. Our ideas are to use a parachute to slow down the landing using a garbage bag and string, but this idea is still to be decided by our team. To support the egg we want to use a couple of pipe cleaners that rap around the egg inside the box, and to protect the eggs we will use paper and stuff it inside the box. Our biggest challenge is going to be the amount of tape we use, and the materials if they are strong enough or if they will work well with our plan, and lastly the budget that we have using the least amount of money but still having a successful project.
Goals for next class are to finish gathering all our materials and start building our box that our egg will go in.

Dugong

What will happen if they become extinct? People should be concerned about any type of species becoming extinct because this could affect all of us. If Dugongs become extinct it will affect the amount of Biodiversity In the ocean. Dugongs feed on seagrass, and sometimes Dugongs eat crabs and algae. A daily life for a Dugong is mostly eating throughout the day. Seagrass is also a place that serves as a nursery for small fish, shrimp, and many other living creatures in the which can be found in Oceans. "In fact, dugongs actually improve the quality and  quantity of seagrass beds through their grazing activities while eating the grass," said Dr Donna Kwan.
